Pre-Corruption Chronoscope Hypothesis
Planet earth was created and soon corrupted most likely less than 10,000 years ago when the Fall of mankind must have happened, shortly after the creation of the earth. It is possible that when this happened, the rest of the universe was corrupted permanently as well. It is also possible that the universe never changed dependent on the Fall and that God only cursed planet earth and anything affecting earthlings. Whatever the case, this happened shortly after the earth was created by God, who made the rest of the universe billions of years earlier. The evidence we have for a universe billions of years old is the way light travels. The observable universe is tens of billions of light years across, which means it would take billions of years for the light emitted from the farthest seen celestial body to reach our eyes. While the estimated age of the observable universe is less than 14 billion years, the difference is gapped by the extreme expansion of space. It doesn’t really matter exactly how many billions of years. The point is that most of the universe is old enough to have existed before corruption began.
While we can’t go back in time, we can, in a way, look back in time. This is actually a natural phenomenon rather than a piece of science fiction technology. In fact, this phenomenon turns our telescopes into real-time chronoscopes every time we use one. For example, every time you look at the moon, you are seeing it as the moon was 1.3 seconds earlier than the time you look at it. The sun’s light takes about 8 minutes to reach our eyes, so every time you look at it (would not recommend), you are seeing 8 minutes into the sun’s past.
What if you looked at an object 100 light years away? You would be seeing 100 years into that object’s past! The same principle goes for anything when using light years as the distance metric.
If you looked at a planet 10,000 light years away, you would be seeing 10,000 years into its past. If the universal Fall happened less than 10,000 years ago, anything you see 10,000 light years away should be seen as if it wasn’t corrupted yet — in theory.
So the whole idea of this hypothesis can be said like this: it is possible to use optical time travel to see an object as if the curse never happened to it! While I would love it if that idea was for sure true, it is only one possibility. The other likely outcome is that the rest of the universe was in a naturally “cursed” state, but it happened independent of the Fall of mankind and way before any human existed.
But even if the Fall didn’t affect all of creation, it is still a novel idea to think that you can see objects as they were before you were even born, even before the earth came into existence. In this case, you can still see objects as they were before anyone even started building a telescope to see that object! The phenomenon of visual time travel is a truly amazing, natural chronoscope into the past!
Scientists have actually measured spectrograph data from objects more billions of light years away, which means they can easily observe data changes from, say, a distance of 2000 light years to 10,000 light years. And in general, looking at the data, it would be extremely difficult to prove my hypothesis, and in general, spectrographs tend to prove that creation, except for anything affecting us, was never explicitly cursed or uncursed. As in, it was never dramatically altered since its creation. Like I said, the curse targeted humans rather than galactic objects unless you are talking about the ones that directly affect us.
So you can see into the past, but only a certain amount for certain objects at a certain distance, so seeing the earth’s past is very negligible for us on the planet. And you would have to move faster than the speed of light to transport yourself to where you could see the earth as if it was before you were last there. So very impractical for seeing into earth’s distant past. So there is no real way to see the earth as if it was never corrupted. But if you were instantly teleported to a planet 10,000 light years away along with a powerful enough telescope, you could see Adam and Eve in their pre-corrupted state. You might even be able to see the fiery angel guarding the Garden of Eden if you knew the exact year the corruption happened and could teleport the right distance.
There are theories about potential time travel in the future that could eventually lead to people actually being able to see the earth as it was before it was corrupted. Maybe a thousand years from now, someone with an incredibly powerful telescope might be able to teleport 10k light years away via a wormhole (more on those in a later article), creating the ultimate shortcut to the ultimate natural chronoscope.
